Real Positive Vibes

Positivity in Practice

Life is a series of experiences through which we learn patience, endurance, and thankfulness. Of these three, patience is the foundation. While the adage patience is a virtue is true, what is also true is patience is a sacrifice. It is a virtue, valuable to self and others, ensuring the best possible outcome. Patience is a sacrifice in great challenge and trial to remain calm and confident, believing the result you hoped for is still possible and imminent.

Other words for patience are perseverance, steadfastness, fortitude, or calmness. Each conveys the act of staying peaceful, in heart and action, during any circumstance. While patience in action can be an act of self-will, the patience of the heart requires deeper trust and is a lifelong challenge to master.

When patience is complete, there is a sweet reward of hope realized.

This week, challenge yourself to find your inner patience of the heart in situations that put you on edge. When you control your actions (and your tongue), go deeper; tell your heart to be at peace and trust the process.

This is how I tell my heart to be at peace.
