We all know that true beauty is more than skin deep, but none of us can deny how good a new haircut, outfit or even a compliant can make us feel. Perhaps even more importantly, we know what a boost these types of things can give to someone who is having a hard time.
We hope you enjoy the stories we’ve chosen for you, this month and as always remember even the smallest act of kindness can change someone’s life.
About Us
Offering A Helping Hand
We have all had struggles reaching our goals. The most powerful and lasting memories from those times are the people who helped us along the way. The only better feeling than someone reaching out to help you is being in the position to help someone else.
An entrepreneur in Grand Rapids, finally found herself in a position give back and opened up her business to others in her industry just getting their start. Ms. Dentmond started her career doing eyelashes and hair, and she remembers the struggle of trying to make sure she had her chair rent every week. So now, hairdressers can have a chair in her store rent-free. It allows them to focus on their craft, build clientele, and feed their families.
My Sister’s Closet
When you start over, you have to back to basics, and in instances of domestic violence or release from incarceration, many women don’t have anything more than that clothes on their back. That’s why Church Builder’s Bible Training Center is launching My Sister’s Closet. The program will provide a safe and private space for women in need to get clothes for court dates, interviews and other life events free of charge.
Fun, Fashion and Giving Back
