Editor's Note

Hopefully, today's newsletter will provide you with a moment of rest and little joy and hope to carry with you. Always remember that even the smallest acts of kindness can change someone's life even when you don't realize it. Everyone needs a little help from time to time and we can make it easier on ourselves and others by fearlessly asking for help when we need it and reaching out to help others when they do the same.

About Us

The mission of Real Positive Vibes, RPV, is to help society move toward goodness, finding it within themselves by seeing it in others. RPV is a service of Church Builders Bible Training Center whose mission is to help each person discover their vision for life, find their passion, and focus their purpose. Our beliefs are interdenominational. We are unapologetic about our non-religious Christ-centeredness. Find out more: bibletc.com/vision

Positivity in Practice

Learning to want what you already have...

A wise person once said satisfaction doesn't come from having what you want but from wanting what you have. Now, hear me out; this doesn't mean that we don't have goals or desires to improve our lives or make ourselves happier. Rather this is an opportunity to recontextualize how we feel about the victories we have already won and the rewards, accolades, and accomplishment that comes with that.

If you are anything like me, you have barely finished a task before it is time to race up and attack the next one. What that does to us is cause us to minimize the good things, the moments we enjoy, and the hard things we've done, and maximize our failures, near-misses, and to-do lists.

So here's your challenge this week: savor something you have. It doesn't have to be complicated, it can be something as simple as lingering over a cup of coffee before your day starts, spending a little extra time with a loved one, or pausing to reflect on the hard work that it took to get you to where you are right now in this moment.

Our journeys to be happy and content with ourselves get a lot easier when we enjoy the things we strive for along the way. Email us and let us know how it goes. We may feature you in a future issue.

If you want to keep spreading the positive vibes, here’s how you can help:

  • | Pray with us--may God bless this ministry.

The Techno ‘Clean-up Raves’ Restoring Ukraine

The rave scene has a famously DIY attitude to hard partying, but in Ukraine techno heads have taken things a step further by combining dance events with fixing up bombed-out buildings.

Repair Together drew 200 people from as far away as Portugal and the US to dance among the debris in the village of Yahidne, 87 miles north-east of Kyiv, where DJ Oleksandr Buchinskiy blasted out techno from turntables mounted on ammunition boxes.
