Editor's Note

All too often, our news, social media feeds, and even our conversations with friends and family are centered around anxiety-filling and rage-inducing content. It can be so difficult to believe good things happen every day when the things reported or shared are examples of the worst humanity has to offer.

That’s why we started Real Positive Vibes. We wanted to create a haven inside your inbox to share some good news with you. We hope that while you read our newsletter, you can recharge and feel refreshed.

Positivity in Practice

Laughter is actually good medicine

A new year means new goals, and for many of us, getting healthier tends to top the list. So here's one quick hack to healthier life [I've always wanted to say that, 😅]. But seriously, we've all heard the saying that laughter is the best medicine. And it turn out it isn't just empty words. Laughter can improve every aspect of your health; physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

  • Physically, it improves cardiovascular health, lowers blood pressure, and lessens aches and pains.
  • Mentally and emotionally, laughter improves health by reducing stress hormones and releasing happy hormones.
  • Spiritually, laughter can renew hope for the future and give a brighter perspective on a difficult situation.

Don't just take my word for it, even doctors agree. We live too much of our lives at the razor's edge of a stress fight or flight response. Which isn't good for us, and laughter, even in small doses, free us from those cycles and helps reset and destress.

So take your medicine and laugh a little every day, your future self will thank you.

Email us and let us know how it goes. We may feature you in a future issue.
