WWII Veteran becomes a Centenarian

This Memorial Day was truly special for the family of WWII veteran, Gene Karbowski, who turned 100 years old becoming a centenarian on the holiday. He is still driving, his mind is as sharp as ever. He shares many war stories and counts his blessings.

Shouting from the Rooftop

The principal of Grandville’s Central Elementary chose to honor his outstanding students by getting on the rooftop and shouting their praises! This remarkable leader shows the epitome of encouragement and motivation to his students.

Memorial Day History

This memorial website gives wonderful history about a few phenomenal soldiers to ensure the memory of their legacy lives on. For example, the first African American to receive the Army’s second-highest award—the Distinguished Service Cross—in World War II was Private George Watson. There are 15 others on the site with remarkable stories.

Cafe & Crafts All Summer Long

Summer fun is for everyone! In this series, Cafe and Crafts, Church Builders Bible Training Center is like Sip and Paint, only we're getting crafty with string art! We have six sessions scheduled that will be a blast of a good time, each with a unique string art masterpiece you can create and hang with a sense of accomplishment to decorate your home. Each class is $45 per person and includes all materials for the craft, full instruction, and basic cafe refreshments. Paid box lunches are available. There is a $5 discount per class for registering for 2 or more classes.
