Positivity in Practice

New beginnings start with your mindset

Henry Ford once said, "Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you're right." When I was thinking about my own resolutions and goals for this year, I came across this quote. I really like it, and I wanted to share it with you because it really help me adjust my perspective.

Raise your hand if you've ever said, we'll. I can't do that because [insert reason here], so I'll do something else instead. (🙋🏿me) Why do we do this? Why do we settle for what we think we can get instead of fighting for what we need? I believe it is because we told ourselves we couldn't get more or win that fight, etc.

This quote from Ford jumped out at me because I had to stop and think about how many goals and ideas I had rejected are telling myself I can't do that. The new year is both a new beginning and the perfect time for reflection. Now I'm not advocating for reckless behavior, but I want to encourage you to reevaluate if the things you want to do are truly impossible or if you are selling yourself short.

Email us and let us know how it goes. We may feature you in a future issue.
